The Siege of Luthadel is the major event of The Hero of Ages.
The armies of Straff Venture, Ashweather Cett and the Koloss army of Jastes Lekal besiege Luthadel and King Elend Ventures throne. Elend gets deposed and the city raises Ferson Penrod to be king. Vin intimidates the opposition, but eventually is persuaded to escape as the battle comes to a head. Luckily she returns and starts capturing the Koloss using emotional Allomancy and routes Straff's army.
