This spaceship was used by a group of explorers from Nagadan on Komashi to travel to UTol[1]. It was then stolen by Hoid and Design.[2]

Context

For an unknown reason, UTol was the only celestial object visible through the shroud covering Komashi. Over time, the use of telescopes had determined that the "star" was in fact an inhabited planet.[3] However, no radio signals were detected from UTol, leaving people to conclude that its inhabitants were less technologically developed than Nagadan.[4]

Function

The spaceship functions similarly to the trains found in Nagadan, with propulsion from a pair of hion lines which ran all the way back through space to Komashi.[1] It is capable of reaching the Iron Seven Waystation from Komashi.[2]

Mission to UTol

The vessel traveled from Komashi to UTol, and completed one orbit before landing. To the shock of Nikaro who believed the "star" to be the homeworld of Yumi, the explorers used a camera to show the inhabitants as non-humans with four arms. As hion viewers show only in magenta and teal, the colors of the hion, the explorers had to describe the skin tone of the aliens, describing them as pale, the color of "chalk".[1]

Theft

After Yumi destroyed the father machine, Hoid was freed from his paralysis. Unwilling to wait the three years before they could next be retrieved, Hoid agreed to follow Design's plan to steal the spaceship, involving him imitating one of the crew, possibly using Lightweaving.[2]
