Amaram is a tall and imposing soldier.He has a straight posture at all times and takes care to show himself as a soldier, always wearing his uniform comfortably.He has light tan eyes.{{book ref|sa1|44}}
Amaram is also very pragmatic, going to the length of killing the entire remnant of [[Kaladin]]s spear squad and branding [[Kaladin]] a slave in order to take his [[Shardplate]] and [[Shardblade]] for himself, as he believes that they will simply be more effective in the hands of a [[lighteyes]] trained in the sword.He considered it a mercy when he left [[Kaladin]] as a survivor and slave.{{book ref|sa2|88}}{{book ref|sa2|76}}
