Mrs. Shinja is a woman who lives in the same apartment complex as Nikaro and Akane. She regularly showers at nine o'clock in the morning and has a reputation for being particularly possessive about the building's hot water. Everyone--even the building superintendent--avoids angering her over the issue for fear of being assaulted with a broom. Yumi once drew the woman's ire for using too much hot water.
