Utaries is a planet in the Reaches that is part of the High Empire.[1]
Prior to Varion Crestmar's graduation from the Academy, the planet had rebelled against the empire and was outside of its control. During his re-conquest of the Reaches, Varion prioritized retaking Utaries, as it easily could have rallied other planets to its cause, and successfully captured it early in the campaign.[1]
The planet is the home of the pilot Charisa of Utaries, one of the first rebel commanders to join Varion.[1]
