Reverts[edit]

Hey Kit. It's great to see you editing! Thank you so much for your time.

Hey Kit, I reverted your Aon edits because you left the page half finished. Havingthe images spread thru the article is a worthy goal but please don't leave them at the random sizes. --Joe ST (talk) 00:16, 29 October 2015 (MDT)

How do I set the image size? --Kit (talk) 12:28, 29 October 2015 (MDT)
Hey Kit, Wikipedia has a great tutorial on how to use images in various ways (though I do see that you figured out part of how to resize images. I am however going to be reverting the edits to the Aon page. Aons are one of my areas of particular interest so trust me when I say that I have thought extensively on how best to format things. I agree that ideally the images of the Aons should be interspersed through the article, however at the current time we simply don't have enough information for each individual Aon to fill out each section. As a result I have yet to find a way to space them out that actually looks good. Having them in a gallery at the top of the page is a necessary evil I'm afraid. If you want you can copy over the article to a User Page (such as User:Kit/Aon) in order to continue fiddling with it. If you think you find a solution I'll be more than happy to look it over. --WeiryWriter (talk) 16:45, 30 October 2015 (MDT)
Ok, thank you the Aons are one of my favorite magic systems and I've been working on finding a language or pattern in them. I'll do what you suggest with the userpage, thanks. As we add more images(some Aons from the Glossary are missing) I hope we can find a way to better spread them out, I was debating a chart, this would also fix the problem of the LOoooooONG contents bar. --Kit (talk) 12:15, 30 October 2015 (MDT)
Yeah I'm working on new versions of the Aons (including some of the missing/new ones from the 10th Anniversary edition) but it may take me a while to roll them all out, especially some of the more complex ones. I'll be sure discuss ways to improve the contents bar with Joe (who is the main tech guy for the wiki) he might now of a way for the ToC to default to closed (though at the present time it should be offseting the text instead of creating a whole lot of white space). I'm skeptical of a chart being used here though, before I wrote the first iterations of this version of the Aon page the wiki actually was using a chart and it just did not display the information in the best way in my opinion. Since we do have a reasonable amount of information about a few of the Aons, I do think the current prose-based version is, if not the best, the easiest to display everything relevant.--WeiryWriter (talk) 16:05, 31 October 2015 (MDT)
