Tuft is a beggar that lives in the slums of T'Telir on Nalthis.
Appearance and personality[edit]
Tuft is missing an eye and does not cover the empty socket with a patch.[1] He is usually one of the first people to arrive on the street corners to beg in the morning.[1] He is presumably Idrian, as Denth remarks that "everyone" who lives in the slums hails from Idris.[2] He is gruff when interacting with Vivenna, saying he "don't owe nobody nothing" and calling Vivenna a "plant" for living as a beggar when she didn't have to.[1]
History[edit]
Vivenna meets Tuft at some point when she is living on the streets as a Drab; he kicks her out of his usual begging spot three times.[1] She later visits him seeking clues to the location of Nightblood. He is not cooperative until Vivenna gives him a valuable handkerchief. He then directs her to search a tenement near the Third Dock, where she eventually finds Nightblood with Chapps.[1]
