Parentheses[edit]

What is the criterion for putting parentheses around a title in this template? It appears inconsistent as is. Hadhad (talk) 11:35, 6 February 2017 (MST)

the main criterion is 'books that aren't part of the main sequence' (so Mitosis is currently miscategorized, I'll fix that). Nightblood maybe shouldn't be on here at all? --01:41, 7 February 2017 (MST)
Okay, that makes sense, thank you. I think Nightblood is equivalent to Worldspire. It's a separate, planned, sequel that isn't out yet. See if you like my change. Hadhad (talk) 08:17, 7 February 2017 (MST)
My only qualm is how many other unreleased books should we put in to this page? the ones we know the release dates for definitely deserve to be here. I think the reasoning behind Nightblood was that it's something lots of people would be asking for information on? --Joe ST (talk) 08:31, 7 February 2017 (MST)
I think it's a reasonable standard to only put books in here with a "more definite" release date. Maybe that means it's been officially blessed as done by Brandon, but it's still in editing, like Oathbringer is today. It seems like it will be literally many years before we get Nightblood[1] (which makes me quite sad), so maybe it should just be removed. Apocalypse Guard isn't in here, and it's certainly closer on the horizon. Hadhad (talk) 09:30, 7 February 2017 (MST)
Why is there not a section for unpublished books like Nightblood that have a name and will eventually come out, but not soon? It seems to me like that would be the best solution. Was there a reason for not having that? Thegatorgirl00 (talk) 09:47, 7 February 2017 (MST)
mainly because this template is naming 'published' books and is trying to group them by series rather than status? I think it makes sense to have links to books that people want to know about (thus Nightblood) even tho it's a fuzzy qualifier. --Joe ST (talk) 13:57, 7 February 2017 (MST)
