Tallew was a type of rice native to Roshar.

Culinary Uses

In Alethkar, children were often served fruited tallew rice with flatbread. In fact, tallew itself could be used to make flatbread. Boiled tallew was also used in the gruel that Tvlakv served his slaves.

Lighteyes sometimes ate stagm served on a bed of boiled tallew. It could be spread onto the slices of stagm. Tallew could also be fermented to make brandy.
