Tallew was a type of rice native to Roshar.[1]

Dishes

In Alethkar, children were often served fruited tallew rice with flatbread.[1] In fact, tallew itself could be used to make flatbread.[2] Boiled tallew was also used in the gruel that Tvlakv served his slaves.[3]

Lighteyes sometimes ate stagm served on a bed of boiled tallew.[4] It could be spread onto the slices of stagm. Tallew could also be fermented to make brandy.[5]
