I believe that Shadesmar can be visited by those using a fabrial. Also I doubt that its guarded by the "truthspren". Those spren are tied to the Knight radiant orders, but not everyone who can use the abilities has them for example Szeth, also Shallan didnt tried to access it directly, but called the creatures, thus its a speculation that they "guard" it --Anon
- Hey there, interesting ideas. You should probably post them on the forums, it's more likely to spark discussion over there. The discussion pages here on the wiki are mainly for pointing out mistakes or makings suggestions about the article itself rather than the subject matter. --Joe ST (talk) 17:04, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
Answers from Peter
Q: Is Shadesmar a Rosharan local term for the whole Cognitive Realm or only a location/part of it? (Because it seems that we have some contradictory WoBs...)
A: I am pretty sure that Shadesmar is not a Rosharan local term, and that people who are “in the know” from all over the Cosmere use it.
Q: One thing I'm still confused about: Is Shadesmar the whole Cognitive Realm or just a part of it?
A: As far as I know, the whole Cognitive Realm can be called Shadesmar. ”—Peter
I'm not sure if this information is completely canon, so I just post it here. (From: User:Botanicaxu)
- Do you happen to have a source link for that? it's safe to say it's canon until proven otherwise I think XD thanks for the awesome find tho --Joe ST (talk) 04:39, 12 January 2016 (MST)
- Eh this appears to contradict stuff Brandon has said in interviews (though unfortunately we only have paraphrased WoBs this says that other people/planets would *not* call it Shadesmar and this says that Shadesmar is a part of the Cognitive Realm.--WeiryWriter (talk) 13:37, 12 January 2016 (MST)
- Those are the answers I got from Peter via e-mail when I was asking some translating questions. Yeah, the WoBs Weiry linked are exactly the reason why I decided to ask for a further confirmation. Now I just become more confused... -- User:Botanicaxu (talk)
