Ethnicity[edit]

Should Kenton be in both the Daysider and Darksider categories, since he is ethnically mixed? --BeskarKomrk (talk) 14:50, 13 December 2016 (MST)

My opinion is no. Daysider and Daysider are odd terms... They're not nationalities (in which case you can only be one or the other), but they're not ethnicities either (which I think is what your question leans toward). My logic on their use is that they describe the person's cultural background. And I think Kenton isn100% Daysider, culturally speaking. - Jofwu (talk) 22:37, 13 December 2016 (MST)
Ah, I see that you were indeed using the terms for ethnicity. Didn't notice that before. So maybe we need to have a discussion about what those terms mean... 17th Shard forums are probably better for that. I believe ethnicity involves racial AND social identity. Having a Dakrsider mother isn't enough to make him ethnically Darksider, I think. - Jofwu (talk) 22:46, 13 December 2016 (MST)
