Spheres are a currency that appear to be used on, at least, the majority of Roshar. They are made of gemstones that are set inside molten glass in the shape of spheres. The gemstones come in three denominations, which are chips, marks, and broams. There are five chips to a mark and four marks to a broam. Each of the glass beads is about the size of a thumbnail and flattened on one side, to keep them from rolling away when they are set down.
