The Skaze were "evil Seons"[1] and were related to Skai.[2] Most likely due to Dominion's Intent, the Skaze are "pretty thirsty for power".[3]
They look like melon-sized dark sphere that seems to suck in the light around it, and having indistict edges that blended into the air. It is also described as being "ringed with a pattern of misty symbols—they ran like a hoop from its top, around the side, to the bottom, then back up to the top."[4]
They had a large amount of influence in the politics of Fjordell[5] and strongly influenced the Dakhor.[6]
Dilaf had information from the Skaze that the Elantrians were not indestructible.[7]
Hoid talks to a Skaze and indicates that he has made some sort of agreement with the Skaze.[4] This is a kind of equal partnership.[8]
Similar to spren, Skaze can turn into Shardblades if they have something to pull them more into the Physical Realm.[9]
Speculation
It has been speculated that the Skaze might be Splinters of Dominion.
