Sidin is the captain of the Palace Guard in Kholinar.

Sidin and a number of other guards are locked into the palace garrison after disobeying queen Aesudan. He claims they were only fed three times.[1] During the Battle of Kholinar an officer approaches king Elhokar and leads Adolin to the garrison. Once the door is opened Sidin is wary of Adolin's existence, but quickly rallies the prisoners into offering support to the liberation effort. Adolin convinces them to act as reserves and let themselves be checked over by the medics.

After meeting back up with Elhokar, Adolin assigned Sidin and half a platoon to follow the king as they seem to have "previously resisted the influence of [the palace]" and know the terrain better than the Wall Guard.[1]
