Lady Patresen was a noble from the Final Empire on Scadrial. House Patresen was a cousin family to House Elariel with a presence in Fadrex City.

Appearance and Personality

Lady Patresen had tan skin and dark hair. As an important noble, she is arrogant and used to being in control of the situation.

History

She was one of the important women at Aradan Yomen's ball. In order to begin understanding the local politics, Vin confronts her in front of her group of women with a claim that she is planning to abandon the city. Vin then makes clear that she has earned her reputation, citing her killing of Shan Elariel, and says that she and Elend Venture will conquer the city and will have little use for those who opposed them when they do. Vin abruptly leaves, and Patresen's group of women soon abandon her for Vin.

She is known for her proofreading abilities.

Trivia

• Brandon's friend Janci Patterson helped him get the scene with Patresen right, and so got to rename the character. She chose to name the character after herself, thinking it would be cool to be "the girl who gets spurned by Vin."
