The mistfallen were a group of Allomancers from the Final Empire on Scadrial.
Mistfallen are distinguished from the other soldiers in Elend's army because they are sick for sixteen days after being snapped by the mists instead of one and exhibit no apparent Allomantic powers. The other soldiers are superstitious of them because they are supposedly cursed by the mists. The soldiers ostracised them and begin to spar with them, causing Elend to order them to be separated into a different company.[1]
Later, Aradan Yomen's revelation that he is an atium Misting leads Elend and Vin to discover that the mistfallen are atium mistings. In the final battle, Elend employs the company of mistfallen to burn away Ruin's body of atium to prevent him from getting it.[2]
