The Librarians are a cult of librarians which ruled most of the Hushlands.^[1]

The librarians are divided into four main orders, or groups.

Wardens of the Standard: The most common librarians in the Hushlands, are masters at cataloging books.
Order of the Shattered Lens: Oppose the use of any Silimatic technology.
Dark Oculators: Oculators that have defected to work with librarians, specialize in dangerous, offensive lenses.
Scrivener's Bones: The smallest of the sects; known for hazardously mixing Hushlander and Silimatic technology and using pure-evil lenses forged from the blood of a sacrificed oculator.

There are many stereotypes for librarians:

- Horn-rimmed glasses
- Suit and Tie
- Evil cultists
- Vengeful undead who want to suck your soul
