Invention is a Shard of Adonalsium that has not been Splintered and whose Vessel is unknown.[2]

History

Like all Shards, Whimsy was created at the Shattering of Adonalsium, and picked up by an unknown Vessel.[3] It is not known what Whimsy did directly after their Ascension, or where they settled, if they settled at all.

Some time around the True Desolation, on the advice of Hoid, Harmony reached out to Invention about the threat posed by Odium. After that initial contact, Harmony was unable to locate Invention again.[4][1]

Trivia

  • If Brandon were to become a Vessel, Invention is one of the Shards he has said he might choose.[5]
