Ien was the Seon bound to Prince Raoden of Arelon.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; refs with no name must have content He was named for Aon Ien, which meant "Wisdom" and was used for healing in AonDor.

When Raoden was taken by the Shaod Ien underwent a similar change, loosing his sentient connection to Raoden. Though he seemed to follow Raoden in Elantris too, they were not able to communicate with one another.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; refs with no name must have content
