Iadon was a successful merchant in Arelon before the Reod struck. By the time the Reod struck, he had become the head of the merchant's guild, a position he used to leverage his bid for kingship during the chaos that followed. The ten years of Iadon's rule were widely regarded as among the worst that Arelon ever faced. He eventually committed suicide, once his actions with the Jeskeri Mysteries became public.
He married twice, siring one son, Raoden. His second wife was called Eshen.
