Hrdalm was one of the eight Thaylen Shardbearers, from a noble family sworn since ancient times to defend the throne.[2]
Appearance and Personality
Hrdalm had a jovial and companionable personality.[1] He was more than willing to work with Adolin to take down the Thunderclast, acting as Adolin's defence while Adolin worked at cutting the monster down. He expressed deep gratitude towards Adolin and reverence to Maya when Adolin lent Hrdalm the Shardblade when he was unable to continue the battle.[1]
Hrdalm was able to speak in broken Alethi.[1]
It is not known what Hrdalm looks like as he was only seen in Shardplate.[1]
History
Battle of Thaylen Field (1174-)

Abilities
Hdralm was a shardbearer and had been trained to use Shardplate and a Shardhammer, both of which he owns.[1] He was also capable of using a Shardblade.[1]
Cvaderln
Hrdalm wielded the Shardplate Cvaderln,[1] which had been in his family since ancient times.[2] The helm had stylized Thaylen eyebrows shapped like backward sweeping knives. The Plate was painted black and skirted with a triangular pattern of interlocking scales. The plate's name roughly meant “shell of Cva.”[1]
