House Erikell is one of the ten great houses of Luthadel on Scadrial during the Final Empire.[1] It may be related in some way to House Erikeller, but this is not confirmed.
House Erikell was aligned with House Venture and sold them armaments such as swords and dueling canes; however, they were selling the same weapons at a slight discount to House Tekiel. Kelsier learned of this situation and related an embellished version to Straff Venture, hoping to drive a wedge between Erikell and Venture.[2]
Post-Catacendre[edit]
House Erikell survived the Final Ascension and some members of the house are mentioned as living in the Elendel Basin. Erikell remained a powerful house, as it was connected to several industries (including armaments)[3] and high-ranking political officials. They were aligned with House Hasting and typically disagreed with Waxillium Ladrian's positions on policy, particularly regarding the Elendel Supremacy Bill. They were involved in a bribery scandal with Melstrom, a senator representing Elendel dockworkers.[4]
When the Nightstreet Gang robbed a train en route to New Seran, they stole cash intended to cover Erikell payroll.[3]
Known Members[edit]
- Chip Erikell was a smuggler in the Third Octant of Elendel; he was killed by Bleeder at Winsting Innate's auction.[5]
- Lord Erikell, the head of the house, was present at Lady ZoBell's party and spoke to Governor Replar Innate.[6]
- After a water tower fell onto the church where Wax and Steris were holding their wedding, an unnamed Erikell insurance assessor argued with a priest about payment of their policy.[7]
