He also grew frustrated easily, swearing at his men when they failed to kill Szeth quickly. Hanavanar also did not value the lives of his guests above his own, he set a trap for an assassin known for committed massacres during a dinner party.

Hanavanar is the king of Jah Keved.[1] He is assassinated by Szeth[2] on the orders[3] of King Taravangian of Kharbranth in order to cause political instability.[4]

Hanavanar is on fairly good terms with the rulers of Alethkar, good enough that Shallan believed that if her theft of Jasnah's Soulcaster was discovered, he would have turned House Davar over to the Alethi for execution.[1]
