Halan is an infant in Hallandren on Nalthis stricken with deathfever.[1]
Halan is extremely ill; he has lost so much weight that his skin is shriveled and he is not even strong enough to cry. When he is brought to the petition, Lightsong can see that Halan's Breath is so weak that he will be dead before the end of the day, if not almost immediately.[1]
