When the Veden Shardbearer attacked Amaram, slaying Toorim, Acis, Raksha, and others, Hab tripped on Toorim's corpse, which made Hab drop his spear.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; refs with no name must have content Kaladin managed to kill the Shardbearer, leaving Hab, Alabet, Reesh, and Coreb the last four members of Kaladin's squad.

Later that day, Amaram betrayed Kaladin, and though Hab had his knife out, one soldier quickly gutted him.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; refs with no name must have content
