Frost is a character from Dragonsteel Prime. He is the recipient of the First Letter and the author of the Second.[2] He is the oldest known character in the Cosmere, older even than Hoid.[3] He has a non-interference policy and, though not appearing on screen in any of the published books, has been referenced.[4] He is a dragon and is functionally immortal, meaning he does not age but he can be killed.[5] His long life is racial.[6]

He is closely associated with the Seventeenth Shard.[7] He is not a Worldhopper, but he is still knowledgable about the cosmere.[8]
