Fitch is a professor of Rithmatics at Armedius Academy.[1] After being demoted to tutoring professor, he taught Joel and Melody during the events of the book. He focused mainly on defence theory, but focused on Rithmatic history while at university.
Nalizar's Challenge
A few days before the start of summer, Professor Fitch was challenged by Andrew Nalizar. Fitch was uncomfortable about dueling, and confrontation in general. As such, it was hard for Fitch to focus and create his defenses properly. Nalizar was able to defeat him in the duel, giving himself the rank of tenured professor and demoting Fitch to a tutoring professor. The whole class, including Joel Saxon, who was secretly sitting on the stairs, witnessed Fitch's defeat.
He defeated the Forgotten who possessed Inspector Harding with the help of Joel and Melody Muns.
