Dilid
Homeworld Roshar
Universe Cosmere

She’d begun to imagine an infinite spiral, like with old Dilid, one of the ten fools. He ran up a hillside toward the Tranquiline Halls with sand sliding beneath his feet—running for eternity, but never making progress.

Shallan's thoughts while descending stairs in Urithiru[1]

Dilid is one of the Ten Fools,[1] which are a part of the teachings of Vorinism.[2]

He runs toward the Tranquiline Halls but never makes any progress for all eternity because there is sand sliding beneath his feet on the hill.[1]

Shallan thinks of him when she sees a staircase spiraling down into darkness in Urithiru.[1]
