Demid is a Parshendi scholar in Narak during the War of Reckoning.[1]

He is a nimbleform and is Venli's "once-mate" and later research partner.[1]

He agrees with Venli and helps convince Eshonai to try the new form they discover, which turned out to be stormform.

He began a system for transformation, wherein the Parshendi who wished to transform would only enter the storm after the initial stormwall had passed, as it was marginally safer.[2]

As a nimbleform he struggled to climb the hill to the meeting of the Council of Five.[3] Eshonai thought that he and the other scholars looked too comfortable in stormform, like they'd been in the form previously.[4]
