— Demid[2]

Demid is a Parshendi scholar in Narak during the War of Reckoning.[2]

History

Demid was once Venli's mate, and after the two left mateform, he became her research partner. Agreeing with Venli's views, he helped persuade Eshonai to test out stormform.[2]

After Eshonai's successful transformation, Demid created a system for changing others, making them enter the highstorm only after the initial stormwall had passed, as it was marginally safer.[3] He, too, took on the new form, although Eshonai noted that he seemed to be already familiar with it.[4]

Following the Battle of Narak, Demid was part of the group Ulim led to search the chasms for corpses. He was the one to spot Eshonai's body, and later helped strip off the Shardplate.[5] Ulim later selected him for the first batch of Fused transformation, whereupon Demid dies, taken over by Hariel.[1][expand]
