Lord Cimines is a scholar in post-Catacendre Scadrial.

According to Marasi, he once conducted a sociological study that found that people in crowds give constables a wide berth, mimicking the behavior of groups of animals in the vicinity of a predator.[1] During a trip to New Seran, Wax realizes that his height, clothing, and weapons make him very conspicuous even though he is not identifiable as a constable, and people indeed seem to get out of his way.[1]
