It was a good religion, Master Kelsier. It focused on discovery and knowledge—to these people, the making of maps was a reverent duty. They believed that once all of the world was known, understood, and catalogued, men would finally find peace and harmony.

Sazed's description to Kelsier[1]

The Truth of the Bennett was a religion from Scadrial.

The Bennet were a high developed people that lived on the Southern Islands and were seafarers and made very good maps, some of which were still used in the Final Empire.

With his ascension Sazed drew upon his increased knowledge about how the world had been before the Lord Ruler changed it and with this knowledge he was able to restore the landscape. [2]
