Bavamar is a scholar on Roshar who proved mathematically that the existence of the Reshi greatshells defies the laws of physics. Their interactions with luckspren seem to keep them from being crushed under their own weight. Shallan cites Bavamar when she explains to Kaladin that chasmfiends "kind of fly."[1]
