Bastille Vianitelle Dartmoor the Ninth is a knight of Crystallia and princess of Nalhalla.

Appearance and Personality

Bastille has silver hair. In the first book, Alcatraz notes that her hair is naturally red and that she dyes it silver.^[expand]

History

When she was young, Bastille wanted to be an Oculator and studied different types of lenses. She eventually accepted that she could not be an Oculator and began training to be a Crystin like her mother. She excelled in her training and completed it a at young age.

Her first assignment as a knight was escorting Leavenworth Smedry into the Hushlands to retrieve Alcatraz. After breaking her sword and touching her mother's sword, she was put on trial by the knights. She defeated Archedis and was reinstated . She was put into a coma by the Librarians at the end of the Siege of Mokia. In the note at the end of book five her name is signed 'Bastille Smedry' meaning she and Alcatraz could have gotten married making her a Smedry.

Attributes and Abilities

As a Knight of Crystallia, Bastille has a fleshstone which grants her enhanced physical abilities and connects her to the other Crystin. She is trained to fight with a sword and dagger. She can use Warrior's lenses.
