The Sogdian Forest was a forest just outside of the Imperial Seat on Sel.[1]
It was a deep and dense forest, thick enough to hide someone for a long time.[1] Shai lay low there for a few months after her escape from the Rose Palace.
It is most likely named after the ancient Iranian civilization of Sogdia, centered in Central Asia.
