Dif Smedry is Alcatraz Smedry's cousin. He is extremely enthusiastic about everything, and seems to have a Talent that causes everyone it affects, himself included, to forget all about it.

- Like most Smedrys, he is named after a famous prison. In this case, his name is a modified version of Château d'If, a now-defunct French prison notable for being a main setting in The Count of Monte Cristo.
