Do we know if aluminum stops stormlight drain?

Aluminum and Investure

It seems that aluminum cannot be influenced by investure in any of the worlds of the cosmere. Why is this? Other metals seems to redirect and manipulate investure, seen in the Mistborn series with the burning of metals. Aluminum however carries no investure, acting as a drain, shield, etc. to investure. Why?
