Ahan initaly gloated at his former alays revealing that he had tried to sell them out to [[Iandon]] several tiemes before, but then things took a turn for the unexpected when Telrii had Roial executed for treason.{{book ref|Elantris|53}} Ahan screamed in horror, as Telrii had promised to only imprison the conspirators. But Telrii only laught ordering his guards to kill the others. The Group was safed by Raoden, but even he could not safe Roial. Roials death left Ahan struck whit guilt and grieve he never recovered from. He lost much of his weight and thereafter only spoke in a dazed, sickly voice.{{book ref|Elantris|Epilogue}} |
