This depicts the city of Karbranth as seen from the sea. The picture looks to be drawn on thicker parchment with weathered edges. There is a simple black frame outlining the picture and each corner has the same circular glyph. The glyph has a circular centre with eight lines coming out of it and two small crescent shapes at the front. It looks a bit like a stylized spider or crab, with the lines as the legs and the crescents as mandibles. The name Karbranth is written on a banner that flies over the city. In the foreground we see three very different ships at sea. The one on the right, sailing towards the right, is a large ship with two masts, several sails and a wooden structure on the back of the ship. It looks like a real-life Spanish galleon from the 16th or 18th century. Or like the ships that ferried Europeon immigrants to America back when it was first being colonized. This one has a snowflake-like design on the mainsail. The middle ship, sailing left, is a smaller one. It reminds me of a Chinese fishing boat with a single mast and asymmetrical triangular sails. The final ship on the far right, sailing to the left reminds me of a roman galleon or viking longboat. It’s long with a single mast and a rectangular sails and has oars sticking out the side of rowing. Karbranth sits nestled between high cliffs, keeping it safe from the storms. Judging by this image, if you looked at the city from above it would look like a triangle, with two side against the cliffs and the third bordering the sea. The buildings aren’t drawn in much detail, just white and grey boxes with indications of doors and windows. The buildings are reminiscent of Greece: boxy shapes with small windows and tall, arching doorways. Many have domed roofs. Two buildings stand out from the main body of the city. The first is the lighthouse in the foreground on the right, sitting on a higher ridge just outside the city. It looks like three boxes placed on top of each other with a domed roof. The second is the Conclave at the top of the city. It follows the same aesthetic as the rest of Karbranth was arches and columns at the front and a domed roof. Looking closely, it looks like there are rays of light coming out of it. It wasn’t uncommon to do this in real-life historical drawings of cities, to highlight important buildings.
