After the failed rebellion Vahr was taken in for questioning. Hearing of Vahr's arrest Vasher saw he had a chance to get another large influx of breath and so set out to contact him. He persuaded Vahr to grant him his breaths so that Hallandren would not gain them and offered to in return kill Vahr so that he could not be tortured for additional information about Pahn Kahl's efforts.wb

Blue Fingers's Manipulation
By this time VaraTreledees had renamed themselves as Denth and began working for Bluefingers to help cause the war.6723 As part of these efforts he made contact with Lemex, an Idrian spy, and made him assist the Pahn Kahl plot. Lemex grew increasingly reluctant and outspoken against the plot so Denth decided to kill him with poison.6795 At the same time Vivenna decided to hold a 'rescue mission' for Siri and headed to T'Telir herself, a message from her intended for Lemex was intercepted by Denth and his crew and they decided to go meet with her. He managed to gain her trust and convinced her that Lemex was dying due to disease, he was successful enough that he managed to kidnap her without her realising it.

Siri's arrival at the Court of Gods began to worry them instead of set their fears at ease. It was speculated by some that the last second swap may have been planned from the start and that deferring to the Idrian monarchy actually undermined their authority rather than strengthened it.wbwb One God who was concerned about this, Blushweaver, was manipulated by Bluefingers into thinking Hallandren needed to prepare for immanent war. Falling for this she went and shared her worries with Lightsong.wb She eventually managed to persuade him to her cause and together the pair worked to get as many lifeless commands as they could.wb Siri meanwhile also was being manipulated by Bluefingers who convinced her that he was the only person she should trust in the Court.wb6723 It was his original plan to use Siri to persuade the Idrians within the city that a rebellion was needed6723 but he changed his plans once he learned Denth had kidnapped Vivenna and had been using her to do the same thing and decided it was best to kill Siri instead to further anger the Idrians.6723

Denth managed to convince Vivenna that war was inevitable and that together they could work to undermine Hallandren from the inside.wb Despite pretending to entertain her own plans to prevent the war Denth in actuality undermined or cancelled her plans when she wasn't paying attention and instead did what he could to worsen the situation and support his pre-existing plans.69606795wb He and Tonk Fah also routinely killed soldiers sent by King Dedlin to retrieve Vivenna as they arrived in the city.7284 His efforts ultimately fell apart when he was forced to kill a friend of Vivenna's and she discovered his corpse as well as the bodies of the soldiers sent by her father.7284wb She quickly worked out their true intentions and escaped them.wb
